Out of an abundance of caution and due to the threat of severe weather, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System will be closing all schools and offices on Thursday, April 18, 2019. All after school activities on Thursday will be cancelled or postponed. School will resume after spring break on Monday, April 29.
Have a happy and safe spring break!

Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) STEM faculty generously hosted our WHAM kindergarten students for an iCoding workshop. During the visit our students participated in a series of activities centered around STEM. The students were led through several hands-on, highly engaging, and super fun challenges. With the expertise and support of the BRCC team the students were able to persevere and deepen their understanding of science. We are immensely grateful for this opportunity and look forward to a continued partnership with BRCC!
The WHAM Moonlight in the Gardens has become one of our favorite annual spring events. This time of food, fun, music, and fellowship was enjoyed by all members of the school community. We would especially like to thank Ed Perkins, grandfather of Braxton and Oliva, and the members of his band for their performance through the Jazz Foundation of America. Dr. Legoria began this event several years ago and each year the event continues to grow and expand. We are already looking forward to next year’s event!
