Here are a few reminders for the week of Nov. 18th – Nov. 22nd:
Our WHAM soccer teams have all ended their seasons. We are thankful to the parent coaches who helped to make these experiences AMAZING for our students!
Dear WHAM parents and guardians, We are partnering with Barnes & Noble at LSU to raise funds and promote our school. We need representatives from WHAM there every hour the store is open on Sat., Nov. 16 and Sun., Nov. 17, to tell shoppers at which registers their purchases will give back money to WHAM. Sign up for a shift at the link below. If you can't cover a whole shift, you can team up with another family. And don't forget to shop! WHAM even gets a portion of the food/drinks sold at the cafe. Thanks for all your support, WHAM PTO  Ms. Silver's 2nd grade class has been using the RACE model to compare and contrast. They are now understanding that when writing the A(answer), they should make an inference based on text evidence. This is better known as their "Aha" moment.
Wildlife Warrior Week is this week!! Dr. Legoria has lots of fun activities planned. Our goal this year is to raise $2,500 to help save wild animals in Baton Rouge. Mark your calendar to join us Thursday night for Wildlife Warrior Night from 5:30 - 8:00 pm. The event is $5 per child (parents are free), jambalaya will be sold and students will participate in fun, interactive STEM activities. Please check out the attached flyer for details for all the events. We also need PARENTS! On Thursday, November 7, we need day and evening volunteers to help with games, activities and serving jambalaya.
