WHAM Family,
We are now under a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service and out of an abundance of caution all schools will be closed today. Frozen precipitation is predicted to enter Baton Rouge in the early afternoon and below freezing temperatures are expected to be here by 3 to 4 pm, the prime time for our buses on the road. The EBR Foundation in conjunction with several East Baton Rouge Parish schools hosted Tech the Halls. Several WHAM 5th grade robotics students had an engaging, hands-on, and collaborative experience with other elementary schools from across East Baton Rouge Parish. Teams utilized LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 robots to solve a community-oriented issue. Mr. James sponsors the WHAM robotics club for 4th and 5th grade students.   We are looking forward to a successful second semester!
