 During the Louisiana Sea Grant College Program's 20th Annual Ocean Commotion, the WHAM 5th grade Lab Team had the opportunity to experience and present hands-on activities for aquatic and coastal science. WHAM students facilitated the station entitled "Who's in your backyard at night?"

WHAM STILL NEEDS YOU! Please attend one of the community forums in Cycle 2 WHAM parents your involvement is important as the EBR School System continues planning efforts. We are asking that WHAM families attend 1 of the community forums during Cycle 2. Parental involvement is important to ensure that our voice is heard during the process of selecting school facilities to be renovated and built under the upcoming Tax Plan. All Cycle 2 Community Forums will be held from 6:30PM-8:00PM. The students worked in collaborative peer groups to design, test, and come up with recommendations for improvement.  Today one of our students donated 81 pairs of socks that she purchased with funds from her own lemonade stand. We will continue collecting socks until December 1st. We have currently collected 446 pairs of socks!
