 The WHAM Ambassadors collected items and made cards for six clients of the Greater Baton Rouge Chapter of Volunteers of America's Supported Living Program.
 The WHAM pre-kindergarten program was recently recognized as a 2016-2017 Excellence Honor Roll recipient. The program was given this honor by the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education for meeting the highest standards for early childhood education.
 We will have EARLY DISMISSAL AT 12:45 PM on
Thursday (12/14), Friday (12/15), and Monday (12/18). AFTERCARE services are NOT available on early dismissal days. Please plan to pick your child up in carpool no later than 1:00 PM.  WHAM Holiday Program
Thursday, December 14th at 9:00 am Special themed dress for some grade levels: 5th grade -- UGLY SWEATERS! The ugliest, most garish, sweaters --homemade sweaters are welcome. The tackier the better. 1st grade -- PAJAMAS! The first graders are trying to get to sleep. A stuffed animal would be a great addition to their costume. Kindergarten -- WHO`S FROM WHOVILLE! Continuing a great tradition, Kindergarten will be dressing as Who`s from the world of Dr. Seuss. (Mr. James will supply sunglasses to complete the outfits.) For GRADES Pre-K, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th, students may wear anything holiday, Christmas or winter inspired: Colorful outfits with Santa, reindeer, etc. Elf hats, Santa hats, reindeer antlers, bows. Holiday or winter colors (green, red, blue, white). Classroom Holiday Parties will commence after the program on Thursday. Please check your child`s homeroom for specific times and activities. After consulting with the Office of Emergency Preparedness, WAFB, and WBRZ, and with safety of our students and staff as a top priority, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System will be closed tomorrow, Friday, December 8th. There is potential for sleet, snow, and icy conditions between the hours of 4 am and 8 am during peak transportation times. All after school activities planned for today will continue as scheduled. Please be safe. See you on Monday. Sincerely, Warren Drake The 2nd grade Girl Scout Brownie Troop 10233 will assist the school in getting more trashcans in place on the playgrounds.
